Our final Women in Leadership Spotlight features Amy Bradford, Director of Favorite Managed Services (FMS). When Amy joined the Favorite Family 15 years ago, she started as a Recruiter in our Kansas City branch and was later promoted to Senior Recruiter. After five years in the branch, Amy joined the FMS team as an Account Manager and later worked her way up to Senior Account Manager, Operations Manager, and then her current role as Director of FMS. Q&A
Tell us about a woman, or women, who inspires you to be the leader you are today.
“Favorite was my very first career. I remember when I joined how I was surrounded by such strong businesswomen. Within my first role, I remember thinking I wanted to be just like them one day. They were determined and confident as leaders which really inspired me.”
How do you set an example for the next generation of women leaders?
“I think it’s important to lead by example. I strive to take what I have learned throughout the course of my journey and share that with others.”
What do you want to shine a light on this Women’s History Month?
“I want to shine a light on all women in history. Learning about all types of women throughout history is important because each of their stories are so unique. Each woman has a different impact on society that can be inspiring to all.”
What advice would you give to your 25-year-old self?
“Be confident. Be Brave. You got this!”
What advice would you give to aspiring female leaders?
“Find your passion and never stop learning. Build trust as that is the groundwork that you build upon.”
What is your proudest accomplishment to date?
“Playing a role in the growth of our FMS team. I had the opportunity to be here at the beginning and watch this department grow to where it is now.”
What motto do you live by?
“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!”
