Favorite Healthcare Staffing has celebrated nurses and healthcare professionals throughout the country for over 40 years! We offer a variety of placement opportunities, including per diem, local and travel contracts, and permament and temp-to-perm placement.
To continue the 40th-anniversary celebrations, let’s take a look at our third healthcare professional who has been an integral part of Favorite’s journey.
Meet this month’s third #FavoriteFamilyFeature! Maiysha is a Geriatrics LPN and has been with Favorite for one year now. Keep reading to learn more about her story.
My mother was my main inspiration to pursue nursing.
The office staff. They are incredibly helpful, respectful, compassionate, understanding, trusting, and honest. I would say more, but that could turn into a book.
Continue to strive for your goals. Your age does not determine when you stop making your dreams become a reality.
Healthcare has taught me prioritization, a continuation of medical knowledge on focused patient care, communication, and observation of details. It has enhanced my critical thinking skills and application of the nursing process effectively for patient-centered care.
My patients have inspired me wholeheartedly by providing me with encouraging words and knowing that I have made a difference in their lives.
The most rewarding part of my job is getting up every morning to make a difference in someone else’s life.
To be honest, the tough times that I go through keep me motivated. When I know there is a struggle throughout life or work, I reverse it into a positive outcome.
Skills are very important when it comes to nursing, but I would suggest if skills were a weakness, continue to enhance them. No certain skill will make you successful in nursing. Acknowledging and knowing all skills will make you successful in your nursing profession.
I’m unique because of my personality and I will be the first to obtain my RN Licensure and the first to obtain my High School Diploma in my immediate family. I enjoy relaxing, shopping, dancing, traveling and reverting to being a kid (only during Halloween). As of now, I’m currently enrolled in school for my RN with the intent to graduate in May 2021. It’s been a struggle, but I’m almost to the finish line!
Loyalty, Devoted, and Compassionate.
Hand hygiene is the most efficient way to prevent the spread of anything. Everyone should value their gift of being able to live.
