Our History

The Favorite Story

Favorite Healthcare Staffing was founded by a family and continues to be a family. Since Favorite was founded by Gerhard Kuti, the business hasn’t changed hands or been sold. We’re proud to say we’ve been a legacy of healthcare professionals since 1981.

Many of our branch and corporate employees came to Favorite as healthcare professionals. Every professional we’ve worked with through the years has been a part of the Favorite history.

  1. Favorite Healthcare Staffing founded as Favorite Nurses / Favorite Temps

Throughout our history, many of our employees and management team have come to Favorite through nursing and healthcare channels.

  11. Favorite’s Disaster Relief Roster is Ready to Serve

When the Joplin tornado hit, Jill had been a Favorite employee for three years. Living and working in the city of Joplin, Jill opened her home to many friends and family when they found themselves homeless after the devastating tornado. Though her employer, St. Johns Mercy Hospital, had been directly hit, she worked in the tents and temporary facilities set up in Joplin to serve those patients as well as displaced patients from nearby Freeman Hospital. On top of the daily chaos of providing medical care, she remembers the countless people coming to the hospital asking simply for food and water. Jill reminisces, “It was not a good situation, but it could have been worse. Don’t take for granted what you have.
